Sonne is a minimally formulated hybrid oil-gel, built around the purity of carefully sourced botanics rather than a long list of synthetics. We spend significant time sourcing raw materials, prioritising organic sustainability where we can.

Sonne is formulated for skin in transition, not for a fixed skin type - many who use it are looking for something gentler than harsh, heavily processed products. As with any new skincare product, we'd always recommend a patch test first, especially if you have particularly reactive or sensitive skin.

The natural separation you see is the hallmark of our formula, not a flaw. Shake firmly before use to unify the oil and gel layers and activate the serum.

Keeping our volumes tightly controlled protects the thing that matters most to us - ingredient quality and craft. It's the tradeoff for staying artisan rather than industrial. We release less, less often, so nothing about the formula gets compromised for scale.

The full moon has long been associated with growth, renewal and potency — in folklore, in farming, and in the way botanics have traditionally been harvested and prepared. We're inspired by that tradition, and it felt right to build our own rhythm around it: small, considered batches, released in sync with the lunar cycle rather than a standard retail calendar.

Because Sonne is minimally formulated, it needs to be kept refrigerated to stay fresh. Each batch has a shelf life of 3 months from its production date, which is also why we make and ship in small, fresh batches each lunar cycle rather than holding stock for months at a time.
